Richard Flahive AIF^® | Chief Investment Officer, Partner

Richard Flahive is the Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and a Partner at Hightower Westchester. He brings over a decade of experience advising high net worth clients and institutions on asset and wealth management. As CIO, Richard is responsible for leading our Investment Committee and setting the investment style and strategy for the firm. Richard provides clients, prospects, and internal staff with guidance on internal and external asset allocation strategies including equity, fixed income, and private investments. His nuanced understanding of both the investment world and relationship management makes him well suited to provide investment solutions for our clients.  

Prior to joining Hightower, Richard sat on the Investment Committee for Geller Family Office Services, LLC, providing investment manager oversight and due diligence along with quantitative analysis.

Richard received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Connecticut with a dual minor in Economics and Management Information Systems. Richard received his Master of Business Administration from The University of Connecticut. Richard is a licensed insurance professional as well as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. As a fiduciary, he strongly upholds his legal obligation to always do what is in the best interest of his clients. Richard was an Honoree at Westfair’s 2022 Millennial + Gen Z Awards, has been named one of Westchester Magazine's Top Wealth Managers in Westchester in 2023, and has been named a 40 Under 40 Rising Star 2023 by the Business Council of Westchester.

Richard is active in the non-profit world as a member and Past President of the Rye Rotary Club. He is also a board member of SPRYE, a membership-based organization for adults 60 years and older who want to live confidently at home in the community they love.

Richard resides in Wilton, CT and enjoys an active lifestyle outside of the office with his wife Laura, his daughter Sophia, and their dog Ollie.
